There is something incredible about the actual horses we use in our therapy program. Nearly all our trained therapy horses were injured Thoroughbred racehorses, who have been rehabbed specifically for their use in our therapy program. These horses have suffered extreme injuries, taking 1 to 2 years to heal and rehab. It is in this time of healing, the training of our therapy horses begins and transforms these amazing horses into the gentle giants, who intuitively heal those in need. 

This is their second chance in life! It is truly amazing to witness the connection between these incredible animals and our clients, one of understanding, kindness, love, and gentleness. These horses triumph over their own injuries from racing, and give back tremendous efforts in their new role, as though they know their profound purpose in life is to assist others. They beautifully understand their role is to develop a specific relationship with each individual client.

It is truly a breathtaking full circle of life they experience for themselves!
